Description
Kyoritsu 4102a The Kyoritsu KEW 4102A is an analog earth resistance tester designed to measure grounding integrity in electrical systems. It employs the fall-of-potential method, injecting AC current between earth electrodes to calculate resistance (Rx = V/I). The device ensures safety compliance with IEC 61010 and IEC 61557 standards, prioritizing user protection during operation. Built with IP54-rated dust/drip-proof housing, it withstands harsh weather and industrial environments. Safety features include a protective fingerguard to prevent contact with live parts, overload protection (276V AC/DC), and warnings against use in flammable or wet conditions. Its insulation resistance (10MΩ at 1000V) and 3470V withstand voltage further enhance reliability. The tester uses an analog taut-band meter for clear scale readings and includes an “OK” lamp to instantly verify auxiliary earth resistance validity. Battery-powered (6x AA), it offers mechanical zero adjustment and voltage checks to maintain accuracy. Its compact size (105x158x70mm) and soft carrying case facilitate fieldwork.
