It allows technicians to assess insulation resistance up to 100 GΩ by applying a variable DC test voltage from 1 kV to 10 kV. This makes it suitable for verifying insulation integrity in industrial installations, cables, switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and other high-voltage equipment. The device is housed in a rugged case with a clear digital display indicating both set voltage and measured resistance, enabling reliable field use.
