MG1000 The Sanwa MG1000 is a rugged, handheld digital insulation resistance tester designed to assess the integrity of insulation in electrical power lines and equipment up to 600 V (CAT III). Housed in a compact, IP54-rated enclosure, it combines a large backlit LCD with a 4 200‑count display and logarithmic bargraph to deliver clear, analog‑style readings. Auto‐range selection and automatic discharge ensure safe, reliable measurements, while a live‑circuit detection function inhibits tests if the circuit exceeds 30 V AC/DC. Powered by six LR6 alkaline cells, the unit offers approximately 300 measurements per charge and enters power‑save mode after ten minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. Built to meet IEC 61010‑1/61557 and IEC 61326 EMC standards, the MG1000 features audible and visual alarms for continuity and overload protection, as well as zero‑ohm adjustment for low‑Ω checks. Its ergonomic design, complete with a test‐lead storage compartment and wrist strap hook, makes it well‑suited for field technicians and maintenance personnel. Delivered with test leads (TL‑112a), a strap (ST‑50), and an instruction manual, the MG1000 provides a versatile and safe solution for insulation testing in a variety of industrial and commercial environments.
