The transistor is basically built to use in TV’s and CRT’s horizontal deflection circuits but it is not limited to only this use, the high speed switching, high voltage and low saturation capability makes this transistor ideal to use in many other electronic applications. The maximum collector to emitter voltage of the transistor is 200V and the maximum continuous collector current is 7A, the continuous collector current value determines the continuous load this transistor can drive. The max collector current this transistor can drive in peak is 10A, collector current peak value determines the max load the transistor can handle in pulse mode for few milli seconds. The maximum collector dissipation of the transistor is 60 Watts and the maximum junction temperature is 150°C. Where We Can Use it & How to Use: As mentioned above BU406 is basically designed to use in horizontal deflection circuits but it can also be used for variety of general
